Tours

The Bangles

For their first Australian tour, US band The Bangles chose Entertainment Installations to handle production for all the dates.

We supplied a crew of 5 (Neale - lighting operator, "Doc" - lighting rigger, "Davros" - monitor rigger, Scott Barry - FOH rigger, Clint - backline).

It was a theatre run with shows in Sydney, Canberra, South Australia, Newcastle, and Melbourne.

Our Martin Wavefront handled all the gigs and our custom flying system made getting it in the air a breeze.

FOH gear included our new Dbx 162SL compressors and Midas Heritgae 1000/48.

Ben Lee

We've been on the road with Ben Lee for several dates up and down the NSW coast and the ACT.

It was a great tour and made all the better for his 4 x ARIA wins during the run.

This is a great show with plenty of positive energy and crowd participation and mic stands covered in fresh flowers every night.

We used our Wavefront on a couple of shows and then switched to our new Dynacord Cobra4 rig.

Also on their first outing were some new Dbx 162SL comps.

Lighting was subtle and used some Martin MAC ENTOURS and MAC250 Wash as well as a bunch of Pars.

The Whitlams

The Whitlams are back on the road and we were there for production duties.

These pics are from Doyalson RSL.

Lighting included some of our new Martin MAC250 wash and Martin MAC Entours.

The band played a gear, long set filled with their hits and several new songs form their upcoming double CD.

Royal Crowne Revue

From the USA, the "Royal Crowne Revue" played some Australian shows and EI provided production for the Sydney date.

We used "the usual" rig in the Roundhouse (12 x Martin WSX, 12 x Martin W8C), Midas Heritage 1000 at FOH and Midas Siena on monitors.

It's not quite ROCK but these guys are great musicians and put on a great show for an enthusiastic crowd.

Support band was the Mad Caddies (also from the USA).

Switchfoot

On September 30th U.S. rockers "Switchfoot" returned to The Roundhouse in Sydney for another sell-out show.

With their new CD and DVD firmly in the charts, this was gonna be a huge show.

We provided production and crew again and the guys had a great show.

MxPx and Motion City Soundtrack

Two U.S bands - MxPx and Motion City Soundtrack played a recent show at The Roundhouse in Sydney.

A great gig with a great sound from our Martin Wavefront (12 x WSX subs, 12 x W8C mid/highs).

Midas Heritage 1000/48 at FOH as well as our new Eventide Eclpise Harmoniser.

Our new hardest working desk - the Midas Siena handled monitor duties.

Leo Sayer

UK singer Leo Sayer performed a one-off gig at Ipswich Civic Hall in Aug 2005 and we we on-hand with production.

Leo performed hit after hit during the gig and the sound was pristine thanks to our new Dynacord Cobra 4 PA.

This was a great gig and with songs like "Moonlighting", "You make me feel like dancin'" and "Long Tall Glasses" - how could we not have fun.

Ipswich Civic Hall is a 2 tier theatre style venue and we had no trouble filling the room with great sound, even without flying the PA.

Kasey Chambers

You know you're a National touring company when you take shows this far from home.

Two recent shows by Kasey Chambers happened in Darwin and another in Broome.

We were asked to supply + transport the full production/merch/backline gear for these dates.

A beautiful Friday evening outside the Darwin Casino saw our first show to a sold-out crowd.

A week later another show on the beach-front area outside the Cable Beach Resort in Broome.

Guy Sebastion

Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian has been touring this year and we've been supplying audio and lighting production for the whole tour.

These pics are from the most recent shows at her Majestys Theatre (Adelaide) and Cantebury/Hurlston Park RSL club (Sydney).

Martin Wavefront PA with our Midas Heritage 1000 at FOH and we also tried out our new Evantide Eclipse Harmoniser.

Monitors were (almost) all Shure PSM700's (9), however, we used 2 x sidefills for the support act (Paulini) and a drum thumper. We used our new Midas Siena monitor board on this tour.

Mary Black

Irish singer/songwriter Mary Black performed at the State Theatre in Sydney as part of her national tour.

We supplied audio and lighting production for this one-off, sold-out show.

To cover both balconys and the main floor we used 3 x Martin W8C flown per side + 2 x W8C per side on the stage.

Martin WSX subs (2 x per side) and a pair of Martin ICT300 (front fill) completed the FOH audio component.

Our Allen & Heath ML4000 was used at FOH.
